01 · About Me

Three Decades of Spatial Craft & Tech Arsenal.

"When we capture an object for 3DGS, we are not saving images to be displayed — we are capturing data about how light behaves in a space."

My career spans over three decades in specialized photography and immersive visual arts — a continuous, hands-on journey into how we perceive, document, and rebuild the world around us in digital form.

I have been involved with 360° imaging and digital twin technology since its early days, and with 3D Gaussian Splatting from the very beginning. Over the years, I have built deep expertise in constructing digital twins and capturing 360° environments from both air and ground — translating real spaces into immersive, interactive data. I have also taken part in significant development projects across Europe, collaborating with research institutions and industry partners to advance spatial capture and reconstruction workflows.

Operating from the Joensuu Science Park in Finland, I work with international clients and forward-leaning brands to solve complex spatial challenges — from high-speed motorsport environments to large-scale cultural heritage documentation. My background includes producing specialized visual content for Red Bull WRC Rally promoters, where precision, speed, and creative reliability are essential.

My pipeline runs on dedicated, ultra-high-end Windows Workstations built specifically for heavy 3DGS training — leveraging NVIDIA RTX architecture with massive CUDA core counts and high VRAM to process spatial datasets locally, without relying on cloud servers. For creative finishing, color and edit, I work on Apple Silicon Macs — even though Gaussian Splatting training is not yet a Mac-native workflow, the Apple ecosystem remains unmatched for post-production. The result: uncompromised data security, rapid turnaround, and hyper-real fidelity on impossibly complex geometries.

Alongside my work in spatial media, I have had the privilege of collaborating with some of the world's most iconic brands and artists. I have produced visual content and aerial cinematography for McDonald's, Red Bull, WRC, UNESCO, and Nightwish — and travelled the globe with internationally acclaimed light artist Kari Kola, documenting some of the largest light artworks ever created.

02 · Core Services

Tools of the spatial era.

A complete pipeline for capturing, reconstructing, and deploying the real world as interactive spatial data.

01Spatial Capture

3D Gaussian Splatting & NeRFs

Not a new way to take pictures — a fundamental shift in how visual information is captured. Radiance fields that model glass, foliage and reflections where polygonal photogrammetry breaks down.

02Precision

Digital Twins & 3D Modeling

Precise, high-fidelity scans of buildings and environments — production-ready for professional use, game engines, and immersive deployment.

03Aerial

Aerial Scanning & Photogrammetry

Enterprise-grade drone capture for large-scale site documentation, planning, and 3D reconstruction with survey-class accuracy.

04Immersive

360° Panoramas & Virtual Tours

World-class immersive experiences built on decades of panorama expertise — from architectural showcases to cultural heritage documentation.

Manifesto · Modeling Light

We are no longer preserving pixels. We are scanning light itself.

ISpherical Harmonics

View-Dependent Light

Every splat knows where the viewer stands — reflections, refractions and shiny metal react naturally as you move through the space.

IIBeyond the polygonal shell

Volumetric Rendering

Smoke, water, thin branches, bicycle spokes and transparent structures — reproduced where traditional 3D scanning has always broken down.

IIIPhotographs as raw data

Radiance Fields

Drone footage and stills become training material. We capture how light behaves in a space — not images to be displayed.

Paradigm Shift

A traditional photograph binds you to a single point in time. A radiance field invites you to walk through it.

Why Not Photogrammetry

Polygonal meshes break on glass, fine branches and reflections. Splats embrace what hard surfaces cannot describe.
